The child of a photographer, Dan Sagarin grew up in a New York apartment full of pictures. Their language was absorbed and a habit of careful observation formed at an early age.
Dan’s photography practice has developed in an exploratory manner. Rather than seek spectacular or idealized subject matter, he cultivates a sensitive approach towards examining, and connecting with, his environment and communities.
Dan lives in New York’s Hudson Valley. His work has been exhibited in New York and San Francisco.
